Strange Spam
So, I decided I needed to write a new post, but I wasn't sure what to write it on. I figured that inspiration would almost certainly hit soon, and I could clear out the spam folders on two of my email accounts while I wait for a good idea to punch me in the nose. Then I saw it:
yamipegasus your a moron.
If you don't know, Yami Pegasus is a name I used to go by on the internet years ago, and I still keep the email account for those websites that won't let me change my registered email address. It was clear that this was spam because it had no content inside the email itself, and it derived my name from the address instead of spacing/capitalizing it as any real person or even a website I'd signed up for would do.
At this point, I figured I'd just post some of the better spams I find while going through my email.
yamipegasus' naked ass - Wait, they have porn of me? Where'd they get it?
We caught you naked yamipegasus - Same concept, different subject line and sender. How could they have caught me, though? I'm sure I haven't been naked in a room that paparazzi are likely to hang out in, and I don't have a webcam.
March Only, Enjoy half off Top Designer Heels Shoes Boots Ugg Prada D&G Chanel - I have never received an ad for feminine fashion in my email before, and I probably never will again. I'm not entirely sure why I was targeted for this one, but I certainly don't plan on taking these guys up on their offer.
No test, No class, buy yourself Bacheelor/MasteerMBA/Doctoraate dip1omas, VALID in all countries xklu khzv uvc - I don't want a diploma with the word "MasteerMBA" on it. Something tells me that job interviewers probably won't fall for it. Also, I won't be able to successfully perform required job tasks if I didn't do any studying on the necessary subjects, unless this diploma is a magic one that teaches me C++ in my sleep.
Dear covarr May 81% 0FF - This one had a few problems. First of all, the from line said "from VIAGRA ® Official Site", though I'm quite positive that my email address doesn't also belong to VIAGRA ® Official Site. Additionally, I found this tasty piece of lies at the bottom of the email:
1UPdate: Mario Kart vs. Super Smash Bros.! - This shouldn't have been in my spam box. I subscribed to this newsletter. In fact, I regularly mark these emails as "Not Spam", but Gmail keeps putting them in my spam box.
Ugh. I had to sort through nearly 1000 "real-looking rolax imitations low low prices" and "real men need pills" to collect these. You guys owe me big, now.
